Introduction

CropLife India is the voice and advocate of the plant science industry in India. As the industry’s peak body, CropLife India protects the interests of member companies by engaging with decision makers and other stakeholders at the right platforms. It provides scientific information for future development of government policies and influence implementation of these.

The key goal of CropLife India is to raise awareness of the contribution that the plant science industry makes to development of sustainable agriculture and to the ongoing competitiveness of Indian agricultural exports. CropLife members invent, develop, manufacture and market crop protection products used by Indian farmers. These products protect plant yields and improve their quality by controlling weeds, pests and diseases, leading to the production of high quality, affordable and abundant food, fibre and other crops. Crop protection products are also used to protect public health and the environment by controlling weeds and pests. CropLife India members have introduced 226 of the total 230 pesticides registered in India.
