Akshaya Kamath holds Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He also holds an MBA Degree from INSEAD. Akshaya has over 11 years of work experience. He joined Syngenta in 2005 and managed strategic projects in Syngenta Crop Protection, APAC for 2 years. In 2008, he moved to India as Head-South Asia Seeds business before relocating to Syngenta Crop Protection Basel as Business Manager-Glyphosate in Nov 2010. In April 2011, Akshaya moved back to India as Territory Head, South Asia. He is also the Managing Director of Syngenta India Ltd. Prior to joining Syngenta, Akshaya worked for the Tata Group in Mumbai, India as a Management Consultant. He consulted for blue-chip companies on strategy and operations assignments across various industry verticals such as automotive, chemicals, agriculture, retail and media.
